- This practice instument is designed to for the semi-pro and professional player, student and educator. The ProLogix® Russ Miller Signature Series Brush Map Set, sold separately, makes this pad a great learning tool. Eight differnt Brush Maps diagram Russ's unique brush patterns he uses in different playing situations.
- A replicated rim is applied around the perimeter of the playing surface to simulate an actual rim. This keeps the overall weight down and saves on life of the sticks unlike metal or plastic rims of the past.
- A Remo Fiberskyn® Brush Insert, measuring 13”, so you can practice quality brush strokes and maintain the best sound and feel.
- Snare Basket Receivers assure total stability and provides angle options when placed inside any snare stand basket.
- A Blue Nylon Muffle Disc which fits inside the replicated rim is designed for practicing late at night or working your finger muscles.
- The main playing surface measures 13” in diameter and provides superior rebound and less shock to the hands unlike any other pad.
- The Russ Miller Groove Wedge, sold separately, is mounted securely to provide musical color to your practice routine such as cross-sticking, clave, cascara and other percussive patterns. Can be removed by drum key and mounted to your drumset.
- The Hoop Groove located around the bottom perimeter provides a snug fit on top of a drum inside a 14” snare drum hoop. This allows ultimate sensitivity for closed rolls, and gives a solid feel when you strike the rim.
- The base is constructed from 3/4 Baltic Birch providing excellent durability, true solid feel, and pitch. Sealed with a special water resistance finish.
- A 13” Non-Slip disc is applied to the bottom for practicing on flat surfaces, your lap, or on top of a 13“ drum.
